It\u2019s black, same shape but a few notable omissions that tell you it\u2019s not the Hypervolt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For instance the round LED at the bottom of the handle is conspicuously missing. The new 2 Pro also has oval-shaped handle, this one has round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Otherwise, this is a sturdy durable device made from <strong>good quality material<\/strong> \u2013 it\u2019s not cheap plastic, it feels rubberized end-to-end, making it nice to touch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The matte black color gives it a nice professional look. There is a uniqueness that we rarely see with other similar devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For instance, at the back it shows the battery level \u2013 blue, modern-looking vertical bars on the right side that seem to be emanating from the battery sign \u2013 and the speed gears on the left. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Opove massage gun M3 Pro is easy to use due to its one-button operation. The only other is the on\/off switch at the base of the handle \u2013 something we have seen in Hypervolt and similar guns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a back-panel, there is the main central button that you use to activate the device and set the desired speed gear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The speed level indicators are clear to see, albeit the blue LEDs may feel too dark. Compared to the previous model, no digits are displayed (those used to take up a large part of the LCD \u2013 calculator-like font).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, everything feels somewhat modern, and the M3 Pro Opove looks quite slick for a T-shaped massage gun. We also like the device&#8217;s hidden vents, another small but nice touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Opove M3 Pro Attachments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Opove M3 massage gun comes with <strong>6 nicely varied Opove attachments<\/strong>. Here\u2019s what we thought about them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ball<\/strong> \u2013 This is used to work <a class=\"ek-link rank-math-link\" type=\"URL\" id=\"https:\/\/www.livestrong.com\/article\/471151-which-muscle-group-should-you-work-out-first-larger-or-smaller\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.livestrong.com\/article\/471151-which-muscle-group-should-you-work-out-first-larger-or-smaller\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">large<\/a> muscle groups. It can be used for a general massage as well provided you don\u2019t overdo it on bony areas. The one here is made of silicone rubber, which should make it last longer. We have seen too many of the attachments with a soft EVA foam wear out pretty fast, and we are glad Opove didn\u2019t go the easy route here.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Flat<\/strong> \u2013 This one is used on large muscle groups as well, but you shouldn\u2019t pass it over bony areas to avoid injury. The one here is made from hard plastic which is common. It\u2019s often our favorite attachment because of its ability to punch harder.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fork\/Spinal<\/strong> \u2013 Used to massage the area around the spine and the neck area. It can also be used over the Achilles or be used as a double-bullet head for trigger points. Here it\u2019s made of hard plastic, but the tips are rubberized.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cone\/Bullet<\/strong> \u2013 Used for pinpoint treatment. If you want a focus massage, this is the go-to applicator. It\u2019s made of part hard and part rubberized plastic, which is perfect for what it\u2019s meant to do.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wedge\/Shovel<\/strong> &#8211; Hard-plastic attachment with rounded top, good for shoulders, muscles around the iliotibial band <a href=\"https:\/\/massagegunadvice.com\/massage-gun-for-it-band-syndrome\/\" class=\"ek-link\">(IT-band)<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cushion Head<\/strong> \u2013 It\u2019s a hybrid of the ball and flat attachments. It\u2019s used for large muscle groups or a delicate areas. instructions on how to use the device, information about the massage applicators and general safety stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Size, Weight, Ergonomics<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes it\u2019s not easy to tell what the right size is for a <a class=\"rank-math-link\" href=\"https:\/\/massagegunadvice.com\/best-massage-gun\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"953\">good percussion massager<\/a>. But the Opove M3 massage gun feels just about the right size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not the <a class=\"rank-math-link\" href=\"https:\/\/massagegunadvice.com\/best-mini-massage-gun-picks\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"3542\">most compact massage gun<\/a> we\u2019ve ever seen and the T-shape design doesn\u2019t help its case either, but it\u2019s not as bulky as some other T-shaped <a class=\"ek-link rank-math-link\" type=\"post\" id=\"3881\" href=\"https:\/\/massagegunadvice.com\/best-massage-guns-on-amazon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">guns from Amazon<\/a>. This is near standard weight for most massage guns in its category, but we\u2019ve seen lighter sports massagers. We often associate bulkiness with the type of battery a device has.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ergonomically, the M3 Pro massage gun is okay. The 90-degree handle doesn\u2019t help reduce the strain on the arm during a massage. In our experience, using a T-shaped massage gun over prolonged periods can be quite a challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s why we\u2019ve always advocated for angled handles (like the one in <a href=\"https:\/\/massagegunadvice.com\/ekrin-b37-review\/\">Ekrin B37<\/a>, for example). The slight tweak goes a long way in making things smooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One thing we appreciate here, however, is that even though the ergonomics are not perfect, the handle diameter is accommodating even for people with small hands. Interestingly, even though the handle is round, it is not a perfect round shape &#8211; it is slightly oval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The handle is also not as long as many other massage guns out there. It has a silicone rubber grip that makes it easier to hold and maneuver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-5 is-layout-flex We put the Opove M3 Pro massage gun to the test and by comparison to our benchmark percussion massagers, we can confidently say the stall force of this thing is <span class=\"has-inline-background\" style=\"background-color:var(--theme-palette-color-1, #108eff)\"> <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-palette-color-8-color\"><strong>between 40 to 45lbs<\/strong><\/mark><\/span> &#8211; which is good, if you&#8217;d ask us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is more than Hypervolt 2 Pro (estimated 30-35lbs), and likely more than 90% of <a href=\"https:\/\/massagegunadvice.com\/best-massage-guns-on-amazon\/\" class=\"ek-link\">massage guns that sell at Amazon<\/a>. In fact, this is Theragun Elite range, or the more expensive brother, <a href=\"https:\/\/massagegunadvice.com\/opove-apex-review\/\" class=\"ek-link\">Opove Apex<\/a>, if you will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With 45lbs. stall force and a 12mm amplitude the M3 Pro massage gun is strong enough for athletes and demanding users. It <strong>can punch reasonably deep<\/strong> into even large muscles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>stall force is progressive<\/strong>, meaning you\u2019ll only get maximum stall force when you hit the highest speed gear. This is good for those who may just want a soothing massage. You don\u2019t need to press it hard against the body to get the job done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But what about the intensity of this thing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Percussion Range and Speeds<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, here things haven&#8217;t been so hunky-dory for this Opove massage gun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Opove M3 Pro percussion massage gun can get reasonably intense, but for a massage gun with a 12mm amplitude, it doesn&#8217;t rev very quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has the percussion range of<strong> <span class=\"has-inline-background\" style=\"background-color:var(--theme-palette-color-1, #108eff)\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-palette-color-8-color\">1300 &#8211; 2600<\/mark><\/span><\/strong> hits per minute, a tad less actually (we confirmed this with our laser tachometer).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With 12mm amplitude, it should be more intensive, because, usually, the shorter the amplitude, the faster sports massagers tend to percuss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have seen massage guns with long amplitudes that are more intense than this Opove percussion massage gun, for instance, Bob And Brad D6 Pro (16mm) or Hypervolt 2 Pro (14mm).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the Hypervolt is more than two times as expensive as the affordable M3 Pro (<a href=\"#ng-va\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#ng-va\">around $129<\/a> at the time of writing). At the same time, you can get the <a href=\"#MGAD6PRO3-code\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#MGAD6PRO3-code\">D6 Pro under $200 (with our discount code)<\/a>. It has a 16mm amplitude, which competes with the Theragun Pro, so in this context, Opove&#8217;s result is actually decent and <strong>good enough for intermediate-beginners to make the massage effective<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also like that it can rev slowly, 1300 percussions per minute on first speed. Many devices with this kind of amplitude start only at 1800 or 2000 ppm, so here Opove stands out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The slower percussion setup is great for warming up muscles before hitting the gym, running or a soothing massage session after a long day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Opove M3 Pro Battery<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In our testing, we found that the M3 Pro has a <strong>2600mAh battery capacity<\/strong>. This is the standard battery capacity for devices that weigh approximately 2.5 pounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The battery proved to be strong enough, lasting <strong>2.5-4 hours<\/strong> in our tests. Keep in mind that the battery will drain faster when more pressure and high intensity are used. But we still had some juice left in the device 10 days later when we used it sparingly (10-15 minutes sessions per day).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also noticed the <strong>battery is not removable<\/strong> as we saw with the predecessor device. At the first speed, our noise meter displayed <strong>46 dB<\/strong> &#8211; it is good!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also noticed the sound is very smooth, unlike what you hear on the 5th Gen <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/massagegunadvice.com\/theragun-pro-review\/\">Theragun Pro<\/a> or <a class=\"ek-link rank-math-link\" type=\"post\" id=\"4626\" href=\"https:\/\/massagegunadvice.com\/theragun-mini-review\/\">Mini 2nd Gen,<\/a> which are rattling away (as mentioned above, the 6th Gen Theraguns are super quiet and have a smooth noise). We\u2019ll also say it\u2019s smoother than any Hypervolt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is impressive if you consider the amplitude, usually such devices tend to rattle so much. To be honest though, it doesn\u2019t rev as high as some of the competitors, so it is also why it is perceived as a much quieter one. Based on our experience with all Opove massage guns to date, Opove has always been inspired by Hypervolt.
