Template documentation[ view · edit · history · purge ]
This documentation is transcluded from Template:Not public domain/doc.

This template produces a standardized notification on a media file licensed with CC BY-SA or CC BY (use license=by) that those wishing to reuse the file must properly attribute it, identify it, and note this license. This is meant to provide clarity and emphasis for those reusers who encounter the file and may not be familiar with the meaning of "CC BY(-SA)". This template (the template itself, parameters can include anything) should not include: warning signs, default red/yellow colors (there are no limitations on colors passed through parameters though) or any kind of legal threat. Do not add any such things to this template and if you see anyone adding such things, revert them instantly. If you need such things, you can add them using parameters like note and note2 when calling the template or copy this template and edit your copy. Consider asking at the village pump before you create such a template, the community may not accept it.

This template does not replace {{CC-BY-SA}} and other license templates which should also be placed on the media file.

renders as:
